I was on the birth control pill for over 15 years, struggled with hormonal acne, painful cycles, migraines, poor gut health, mood swings, you name it I experienced it. Menstrual phase (days 1-5ish)
Warming, nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory, vitamin c, magnesium rich foods, red meat, red raspberry leaf tea, walking, strength, stretching, yoga & pilates
Follicular phase (days 1-14)
light, fresh, fermented, colorful foods, lean meat, fish, eggs, pickled veggies, sauerkraut, pumpkin & flax, HIIT, pilates, strength, kick boxing
Ovulation (days 15-17)
Liver loving foods, cruciferous veggies, antioxidant rich berries, quality protein, fish, eggs, lamb, plenty of fiber, cooked veg > raw, strength, barre, HIIT, pilates
Luteal phase (days 15-28)
Omega-3, zinc & magnesium rich foods, raw carrot salad, nutrient dense, lean meat, salmon, organ meats, warming foods, avoid alcohol, sugar & caffeine, low impact strength, pilates & yoga
